The swifts have arrived back a bit early this year and on the night of 12 May all boxes were occupied. There were 7 pairs and 3 single birds. Eggs have been laid in SBox 06 on the Camera 1 multi view and Box 1 on Camera 3. Happy Viewing on the GMIT Swift Cam tab on this website.
Hi i just checked the webcam there but black screens, il looking foward in seeing the 2 juv swifts leabe the nest bottom left on the cam.
Hi Francis, that should be working now. There was some maintenance and downloading of files which may have caused temporary loss of image. It’s working for me so if it’s not for you try refreshing your screen. Let me know if you have continued problems. Lynda
What type of swift boxes do you use.
Hi Bryan, at GMIT where we have the livestream we use the triple entrance Schwegler 17A because you can take the disc off the front for installation of cameras. We buy this model from NHBS in the UK but there is a 2-3 month waiting time for them. NOTE: You must quote the unique Product Code is 249572 which ensures you order the smaller nest entrance hole (29mm height) as per those used by Swift Conservation Ireland.
